Southern Cross Installation - Tasmania, Australia

Updates from Harry Williscroft

A Letter from Harry Willicroft (Tasmania, Australia) 08-22-01:

"Great news! We have secured the site for the installation. I contacted the couple who own the farm by letter outlining the objectives of the World Peace Initiative and briefly detailing the concept of an installation. They in turn contacted me and I visited the property to discuss the project in detail. They were very receptive and gave the ok. They are Mr and Mrs.Robinson and the have farmed the land for four generations . They once lived in a house where the installation is to be placed, it was demolished to make way for the road extensions. So the location has great sentimental value particularly to Mrs Robinson . As expected the view from the hill top is stunning."

"Adjacent to the site is a Penguin colony and a rookery for the Mutton Bird [Shearwater] an amazing little bird that migrates to Alaska each year and returns to the same nest . The general area is called Lillicos Beach Mrs Robinson was a Miss Lillico."
