Dear Lou, Laura, and Andy,
Thank you for a wonderful night! The cooperation
of so many is what made this project worthwhile. It was a beautiful sight
to see in every way. The cooperation from John McCurtain, County Administrator
and Dick Catton, Emergency Department for Leelanau County was so important.
The endeavor went without a hitch. I went to the top of Harbor Hill to see
it all from up high, then visited the County Road 669 site and the County
Road 651 site. To see all the people, all the campfires dotting the shoreline,
the airplane overhead, and all the excitement in the lovely hush of the autumn
night was truly a memorable experience. The back to basics approach was just
right to accomplish a community project. We had people volunteer from as
far away as Saginaw. The spirit is there. Looking forward to next year!
