Fire Captain
Instructions
-
Each of the 13 fires on Good Harbor Bay will
be under the direction of a designated Fire Captain.
-
We will assign volunteer Fire Tenders to work
with you. Please give them copies of the Fire Tender Information
sheet.
-
Numbered fire sites markers will be installed
and firewood will be available at the Lake Michigan beach end of CR# 651
and CR# 669 on Friday Morning.

Please check in with Dick Catton at CR# 669
or Laura Quackenbush at CR# 651 after 5:00 PM.
Volunteer Fire Captain's
Responsibilities
-
See that your allocation of firewood is transported
from supply sires at the ens of CR# 651 and CR# 669 to designated fire
site.

Bring matches or a lighter, your favorite type
of dry kindling and or paper.

Wear a watch (need to coordinate time with project
director).

Dress Warm and bring whatever else you will
need to be comfortable

Keep a 6' square fire burning from 6:30 - 9:00
PM.

Bring a shovel or a rake for fire safety,
containment, extinguishing, and clean up.

Make sure Fire Site Guidelines and basic fire
safety guidelines are observed.
