Volunteer Fire Tender's Responsibilities

Thanks for volunteering to work as a Fire Tender for the Good Harbor Bay Project of the Michigan Millennium Project.

There will be 13 fires lighted.  Each one along the shore of Good Harbor Bay (see Maps--links below).

• Report to Check In Site assigned between 5:00 and 5:30 PM on Friday October 13th, (or on Saturday Oct. 14th if the event is cancelled on the 13th).  CHeck in with Dick Catton at CR #669 or Laura Quackenbush at CR# 651.
• Assist your fire captain is transporting wood to your assigned fire site, tend the fire through the evening and help with extinguishing the fire and clean up.
• Dress warmly and bring work gloves.  Plastic sleds will be useful to carry the firewood to the designated sites.
• Firewood shall be carried by hand or on plastic sleds.
